Re: Samsung codes anyone please
I agree brian, but 99% of the threads have been from outside the UK, so maybe the level of technical back up out there is not up to the level it should be. This fault only seems to be on small inverter systems and from the threads I’m guessing are installed in domestic surroundings so without seeing the systems no one can guaranty the quality of the install as we all know inverter driven systems electrical wise have to be done by the book as otherwise all sorts of fun and games can occur, I’ve found powering on and off at the local switch on these systems rather than the R/C can cause this fault (it lose's its memory as every indoor PCB must be programed into what indoor unit it is fitted on) but other than that I personal cant explain these numbers just try my best to help all when needed, I am sure we all know on here I deal with a lot of Samsung in the uk but one thing I must stress I don’t work for Samsung but do have strong ties, I will never try to justify a manufacture as I am at the front line and deal with unhappy customers all-day everyday but hope my experience can help others
So even I can say they P*** me off too when this happensLast edited by superswill; 21-11-2007 at 09:29 PM.

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
I think you're right Paul, I suppose it possibly applies with other makes although they may have an easier 'restart' method.
Stable electricity supplies are essential for modern electronics and aren't always thought about at the time of install.
You do begin to wonder whether the addition of a backup battery is required to reduce this type of failure (wrong word I know but..) however, extra bits mean extra bucks so won't happen for a whileBrian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
I think as systems become more electronically advanced, we are setting our self’s up for more and more problems, technology is a wonderful thing but I believe will are loosing site of what’s important, cooling or heating a given area to a set temp, when I started in this trade if someone had said to me I would be commissioning massive sites via laptop and have the ability to dial into those sites, I would said there mad!!! This industry has become more and competitive with all sort and manufactures springing up, and what do they differ on, there gimmicks as I call them, they all still heat and cool its just each manufactures selling point that sets them aside from each other, daikins VRV111, Mitsubishi G 50, sanyo gas driven VRV and Samsung wire less access ect ect so I think as brands push for the next big thing we the fire fighter on the road will get these silly problems on every bit of kit as more and more PCB’s/chips ect go into the systems
And where would be without faults I ask
Just my thoughtsLast edited by superswill; 22-11-2007 at 12:41 AM.

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
You would think that the device should have this type of protection built in. I have several other makes of A/Cs in the same home, Mitsubishi and General Electric, subject to the same power irregularities and none of them have ever required a restart code.
I can’t imagine having to reprogram my TV (which is Samsung by the way) every time the power goes out.

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
I would have thought with technology as it is that they could have incorperated a lockin code to stop this happening. A backup battery is ok to a point but it is just something else to go wrong.

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
Hi, this is my first post...
, i'm from Portugal and I have a Samsung SH09AWH unit that doesn't work at all, it has the same problem mentioned in the first post: it has 3 blinking lights in the inside unit (2 green and a red one).
I read this entire thread and now i know i must have the codes to enter in the unit. The problem is that all the links posted had expired except this one (groups.yahoo.com/group/samsunghelp) but it has no codes for my model. From there i ''only'' learn how to enter the codes in the unit.
So can anyone give me, please, the codes for this model. Samsung SH09AWH.
Thanks

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
Sorry to dig this thread up again. I´ve been through this thread and a few others and google but can´t find the code for a Samsung SC09AWH. Does anybody have it, please? I am supposed to going to do a maintenance visit today, and the guy from site called me yesterday and said all three lights on the front of the indoor unit were flashing. So it would be nice to go to site prepared.
thanks.

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
Otherwise you could try 25025 70340
the sc09zw8, sh09aw8, sh09zw8 alll use that code
or SC09ZA8 010000 1700d9
I've got every code except for the one you are looking for. Couldn't find it in all the ones I got earlier, couldn't find it in this post http://www.refrigeration-engineer.co...66&postcount=6 eitherLast edited by paul_h; 18-03-2008 at 11:24 AM.

I am sure that there is more than one model of Samsung A/C and therefore more then one service manual.

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
Went to site today. The code that Nike123 gave didn´t work, however the code that Paul gave did. So for a Samsung SC09AWH the code is 25025 70340.
Thanks everyone for the help

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
I I figured it might, all our a/cs end in an "8", so it might just be a regional thing to say what country it was exported too. So I guess the australian sh09aw8 was the same as your sh09awh.

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
It was a SC09. What does the difference? Just curious.

Re: Samsung codes anyone please
I'm surprised nike123s code didn't work then.
maybe sc = cooling only, sh = reverse cycle, but really I don't know. Even when I worked for a place that was their service agent they told me bugger all.
edit: But if so, it doesn't mean much, the only difference is a lack of a relay on the indoor PCB for r/v operation. They sent me craploads of cooling only PCBs without this relay by mistake when I was working there, and they all worked perfectly except for no heating with the same programmed codes.Last edited by paul_h; 26-03-2008 at 02:59 PM.
