    water cooled condensers

what is the best way to install a water reg. valve on a water cooled condenser, on the supply or return? some techs. say on the supply so if the condenser leaks it will see a low pressure and shut off and not contaminate the system, others say on the return so when the unit starts up the condenser is allready filled with water. any thoughts?

    Hi Aaron,
if it leaks you in trouble anyway. I would fit it to the outlet to keep the tubes all imersed, starving a heatexchanger of cooling water on start-up does not hold with me.
    Regards. Andy.
If you can't fix it leave it that no one else will:rolleyes:

If you purchase a condenser water control valve, the directions will typically indicate where it should be installed. If you are dealing with an existing application, check the mfgr's information.
