    centrifs



    Hello every one, got a leak on york centrifugal compressor between the joint where the motor joins the compressor, is it posiable the low pressure seal is gone and the oil is comming out the joint, and if so can it be changed in position with out having to seperate the motor completely.

    Hello AL thankyou for your reply the mqdel is YDTJ 85 the gas is R123 LOW PRESSURE

    You will need to remove the motor coupling and slide the motor back to replace the shaft seal. Make sure to remove alignment dowels if there are any on the motor base.

    I have never moved the motor back to change a YT seal. Make sure you get the new bellows style seal. Work it right thru the "D" ring.
