    Daikin FUYP71BV1 fault code



    A sub contractor of mine who is doing some maintenance for me has just mailed me with a Daikin problem. The indoor machine is a FUYP71BV1 and the controller is showing a spanner symbol as well as EO, can any one shed any light on the code as I can not get to site myself until Friday, cheers guys.

    I think it is an outdoor unit protection device fault, found a list of Daikin fault codes here.

    Compressor thermistor, also the condensor fan thermistor is used as e0. Always found its the compressor overheating due to short of gas or faulty windings. The inverter drive flags up this fault aswell.

    "EO" means that an outdoor protection device has operated.

    Check continuity on the grey wires coming off the board before you do a reset.

    Mostly a compressor or fan thermister gone open circuit.
