could someone please explain to me how to work out the delta t for a water chiller
thanks in advance

Re: Delta-t
Capacity divided water flow = delta T
Take care: measurements units must be consistent.
For cooling capacity in kW -> flow (liter/second) = (kW x 860)/(delta T x 3600)

Re: Delta-t
If you have a cooling capacity of 100KW then divide this by a flowrate of say 6 L/S = 16.66 then divide the answer by the specific heat of water,which is dependant on the temperature entering and leaving the evaporator but generally 4.19 is good enogh.This gives 16.66/4.19 = 3.98 Delta T.
4.19 is the amount of energy (kj) required to raise 1 KG of water by 1 degree C.
