Vacuum pumps
What type of vac pumps are you guys using and what do you think is the best? My old pump is on its last legs and needs replacing asap. In the past I have used yellow jacket pumps and found them really good . As I work for myself now I've gotta pay for it, so it needs to be good. Any thoughts appreciated
Andy

Re: Vacuum pumps
I have the Yellow Jacket as well, with the vacuum tree and two 3/8ths to 1/4 inch hoses and two valve core removers. Definitely makes in cutting down on vacuum times with the larger hoses and valve cores removed.

Re: Vacuum pumps
I only use Robinair these days, my current pump is 8 years old and replaced and old Robinair that only had a leaking shaft seal, just as important as the pump is a good torr gauge in torr or mbar.

Re: Vacuum pumps
I have found Robinairs to be reliable and reasonably priced.Like MechAcc I use 3/8ths hoses whenever possible.
