hello guys!
i will like to ask if somebody have any knowledge for automatic air condition type climatronic for ww passat...
is it normal that compressor to start if the temperature outside is 16 degrees and inside the climatronic is set at 22 degrees?...i meassured the temperature inside and is 20 degrees...anybody know where i can find a download for this system?

Hi..
I don't know of any downloadable info for you, but it is perfectly normal for the compressor to run/ cycle down to an ambient temperature of 4-5C, after which the low pressure switch will prevent the compressor from running.
The VW Climatronic system will take the chilled air and pass some of it through the heater matrix and will then blend the chilled air with the heated air to achieve the desired temperature...
To turn off the AC compressor totally, just hit the "Econ" button
Which model and year is your Passat? as I suspect that the current model will probably use the Denso clutchless compressor, but I have not worked on one of these yetKarl
