    Question Water Source Heat Pump

    Dear refrigeration guides,
I would like to ask your idea about using Water Source Heat Pump
with cooling tower cycle for cooling, heating and produce hot water.[in 1500 m2 Restoarant]

    C-Tower cycles: 34 C in,29 C out (in summer)
    21 C in,15 C out (in winter)

I f you have any experience or ideas about this proses, will be awaiting your comment.
    Thanks to all....

It sounds like this cooling tower is currently in use for other equipment. Adding a water source heat pump would likely be too much heat for it to reject during the cooling season. When heating, the heat gained from the other refrigeration equipment and/or the outside ambient air would have to be sufficient to prevent freeze-up of the evaporator in the heat pump. It could work but requires some careful engineering. My greatest concern would be lack of capacity for all your cooling requirements during the hottest weather. You may need to replace or add another cooling tower for this to work.

It sounds like you are in a warm climate. It would probably be more cost-effective to install air source heat pumps. Heat reclaimers can be installed on existing refrigeration equipment to produce "free" hot water.

    Good luck!
