EU Working Time Directive

We've seeen some debate about the Working Time Directive in this forum and how the UK's opt-out clause applies to the RAC industry in this country.

It's up for discussion again, this time there's a cry of foul over the perceived advantage gained by those opting out.

I've heard that some members of the EU don't like our (UK) opt out of the WTD to which my answer would be...

Tell your lorry drivers to comply with the driving regulations when on our roads (and theirs) and we might have a starting point for discussion.
