hydrocarbon compressor material
Our factory want to produce hycarbon oil inject screw refrigeration compressor,we use propane or propylene as refrigerant.But I don't know if we can choose nodular cast iron as the material of rotor,because I heard the nodular cast iron rotor is easy to spark and bring explosion.Can anyone help me?

Better apply to HOWDEN. This company has a great expirience of manufacturing that type of compressors.

Explosions can only occur in presence of oxygen. So the rotor can spark or try to ignite the propane, but it will not succeed
