    Re: A/C PACKAGED 12.5 TR with semihermetic compressor

    Dear LC, Brian, I did the request to Carrier, York, etc, but almost all them use scroll compressors R22;
    I know that in a european factory I havenīt possibility to find it.
    I found a factory in the middle east: Petra (petra-eng(dot)com) but it is so far of Latinamerica (the high cost of transport, importation cost, etc)
    Our costumer is in a station in the jungle and he wants a semihermetic compressor because he could repair it .
    LC, Do you know what factory can supply it?

    Thank you, Ronel

    Hi Ronel,

    If the client wants accessiblity for repairs, I would recommend an open drive compressor. The compressor is fully serviceable for the parts they wish to stock or can get quickly.

    The motor is normally something you can get quickly also.

    Here is a link to a website for Carlyle compressors.

    A model 5F30 or 5F40 should fit your requirements just fine depending the condensing temperature. I think if you use R-507 these models will provide approximately 12-13 Tons of cooling. If you use the 5F40 model and slow it down (it can be belt driven) the compressor will last for a long time if it is maintained properly.

    If you are looking for a manufacturer you might contact this company. They build this type of equipment all of the time.

    PS. In the past I did some work for the gentleman who started this company and I think you will be well taken care of.

    Re: A/C PACKAGED 12.5 TR with semihermetic compressor

    Dear LC, the specific requirement is:
    04 air cooled package units
    nominal capacity 150,000 Btu/hr (44 kw)
    380-3-60 (or 220V-3-60)
    with semihermetic compressors R22
    what factory can supply it?

    Dear Iceman, thank you for your suggest but I need package units and donīt only the compressor...Iīm agree with you.."Carlyle is a good compressor";
    the open compressor is a versatil technology but usually has troubles in the seal; with ammonia can be used but with R22 is dificult to detect the leaks. Thank you again.

    In Canada we use Carrier, Eng Air, not so much York. But Carrier and Eng Air for sure !!! Work on them all the time.

    Send your requirement to http://www.montair.it . We can't build it with R22, but we can supply it nitrogen filled, and then you will charge whatever you like.

    Hi rtamayo,
    You can get it from www.skm.ae,
    They are even making custom built units as per your requirements,
    but again there will be a big price difference, any how have a look just for info.........
    Why not try to get a used one from states there are many companies in that business,
