suction and discharge head for parallel compounding compressors
Does anybody know a rule for calculating the diameter of suction and discharge head Copeland, Frascold so on compressors?
Thank you!

Re: suction and discharge head for parallel compounding compressors
The diameter for the main header is not that important -take full capacity - but what's extremely important is how you connect the different compressors to that common header.
Suction: make that all will return to the compressors.
Discharge: make that header is lower then the compressors to avoid oil or liquid flowing back during stand-still.
Bitzer has a very good bulletin about this. www.bitzer.de

You're speaking about parallel compounding. For me parallel is something complete different as a compound setup. It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
