    Analysis



    hello guys, i'm currently doing my final year of Mechanical and doing a project on "Analysis of pratical air conditioning system" can you pliz send me the guidelines on how to go about it.

    Hi Soldier and welcome to the forum.

    You could start by finding an air conditioned building nearby, or your college if it has A/C, and analyzing the system.

    Does it help the building occupants or the products being made inside?
    How good is it at its job?
    Is it energy efficient?
    How easy is it to maintain?
    How does it do it?
    What is it trying to acheive?

    Are a few things that you could think about.

    Perhaps you can try to find the original design specifications and compare those to the actual system operation. You might consider it a retro-commissioning project.

    How it runs now vs. how it is supposed to run.

    Hi

    Also further to the above - if there is a historical electricity usage for the AC then efficiency over time can be calculated.
    Also take into account the ambient temp and humidity over the period since install (global warming).
