Welcome Jorge,

I'm sure you will find a second home here as we have many members here from a wide section of the industry.

Most of the Guy King books are out of print and you may be able to find second-hand copies on Amazon or Abe Books.

On task I have been thinking about is to find who owns the copyright to these books and see if we can get them re-published. They are getting hard to find, but very appropriate even today.

I'm very glad to say hello to the community of Refrigeration-Engineer.com.
I'm a mechanical engineer, aged 26 from Italy.
I'm in charge of the laboratory of a company that produces chest, upright freezers and coolers located in the south of Italy. It's my first work-experience so I'll be very happy to learn and receive tips from the members of the community.
I'm very interested in studying thermodynamics so i'll be pleased to have some tips about where to find useful and interesting articles, softwares, charts about refrigeration.

Covered most equipment in this time, not transport though. Started in the Domestic side right up to York Chillers. Playing with 410 at the moment and "dabbling" in ground source heat pumps.. Can we mix R 22 with R 407?
Can we discharge the units of R22 and replace it with R 417?

You're in the introduction forum here.

R417 is a drop in for r22. Drop in means you can add it to R22.

Just a quick post to say hello as a new member. Came through browsing via Google as I've just bought a S/H Hotpoint Mistral FF80 and found it smelt a little warm and 'rubbery' after turn on. Lots of fluff and dust. Read some of the postings and it looks a great site for advice and problem solving. Perhaps I should have done this before I bought . I'll post in the appropriate place if I seem to have a problem

I am a Chief Engineer working on a 270' factory trawler in the Bering Sea, Alaska. I found this sight while searching for more information on superheat and the adjustment or monitoring of it. There is a lot of great information here. Makes a guy really think. We use a flooded R22 system to freeze around 130 metric tons of fish per day. If anyone has a good way of setting superheat on a flooded horizontal plate freezer, please let me know. I am running liquid into the freezer through a Danfoss REG 25 valve @45 psi and 4mm orifices into the liquid lines for each plate, suction pressure is the equivalent of -35^f and the suction temp is -32^f. We are getting good core temps on the blocks of around -26^f after 104 minutes. I would like to know if I am close to max efficiency for this type of setup.
