    TXV's



    I have a air unit that i will be installing soon, I am going to replace the TXV on this unit at the time, the valve is a sporland DAE-5-L what does the L on the end of the part # designate, I can get a C from our local supply the C is for medium temp, i will be running this unit at about 60 degrees so i do not really need meduim temp. just a ?

    According to the Sporlan documents available here:-
    http://www.sporlan.com/10-9.htm

    your valve designation of DAE-5-L means this:-

    D = FPT or socket weld body
    A = R717
    E = External equalizer
    5 = TR duty
    L = Thermostatic charge, L is the only one available for R717.
