Shhhhh! This is a refrig trade secret. I remember during my summer jobs in A/C, the gals would switch the unit off and make a service call. When we arrived, she would answer the door in see-through and purr "it's so hot in here".

I've had that happen several times. I must say it makes it very difficult to concentrate on the reason why I was called in the first place. Or then again, was the AC really broken in the first place?

A good service tech would first check the switch, then the fuse, then get down to business

Of course, but how do you write up the service ticket?

    Checked wires...they were crossed up.

    Switch was definately ON.

Checked air circulation. That certainly was not a problem.

Was temperature OK? The room was fine.

    This never happens anymore.

    Re: hello

The ticket would read: Checked all moving parts, set temperature and left unit running
