    Indoor coil capacity?

Can anyone estimate for me the cooling rating for this indoor coil? It measures 20" x 40" with four rows of 3/8" copper lines. The fins are aluminum and probably 14 per inch. It's a flat slab coil, mounted diagonally in the blower case. The blower is capable of 1650 CFM air flow.

    Air outlet is roughly 23" x 24". Air inlet is around 23" x 33".

It is currently fitted with a 3 ton txv. I'm wondering if this can be fitted with a 5 ton txv and a 5 ton condensor unit outdoors. Lines are 3/8" and 7/8".

I have a simlar question concerning the outdoor coil. It has 32" x 80 " of coil wrapped around the outdoor fan. It's constructed with two rows of copper lines, 64 tubes top to bottom across 32".

Your coil is suitable for 6 TR capacity for normal AC application and the condenser capacity is 7 TR.

Presently you are not utilizing its full capacity. TXV-5 is suitable.
