started to make an evap for my chiller

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=106780

So what you think so far, I'm making an SLHX directly on the cell to keep it highely compact, once don and pressure tested I'll finnish sealing the PVC shell and then insulate it with expanding foam, and a temp senore will be intergrated into the shell

Thats nice bud, but what is it that it does? it just looks like a pointless piece of refrigerated drainpipe to me.
Takes a licking, keeps on ticking.

lol. thats because I haven't built in the fluid carrying system yet; it is a chiller cell, that should handle a good amount. I'm setting it so the water rotates inside all around the evap surface.

You'd end up with better heat transfer if you put another pvc tube inside the coil. Top view would be donut shaped. Brine would only flow between the two pvc tubes.
    Will melt ice for $101/hr

And as to the sewer pipe, here is the full story on that!

There is going to be a second barb put in when I get to a place that has them on this damned coast, and that is a stainless steel thermister 6K at 21C and a 714 Op amp signal conditioner.

I'll be using a DeltaT for temp control system to lock it at -3.3Evap.
