Wired remote controls...
Here's a question to get you scratching your chins
Does anyone know what signalling methods and cabling the wired remote controls use for typical split a/c units?
I'm interested because I have an AMX automation setup in this room, so it would be absolutely awesome to control an a/c unit via the touch panels
Cheers!

Re: Wired remote controls...
most are designed for use with their own electronics. Some make an interface which will talk to various BMS etc.
I was told many moons ago that Mitsubishi a/c electronics was originally adapted from their video recorder...
Contact the particular manufacturer and ask..
Cheers
