    POE Oil for R404a system

    Hello everyone.

Quick question, im sure we are all aware that POE oil is hydroscopic, so my question is when opening a 5Ltr tin and the compressor only needs a few Ltrs, what to do with the remaining oil?

Do engineers dispose of safely or do engineers keep the tin in the van and as long as its not opened again would you be tempted to use it in future?

I used to gently blow ofn into the can to disperse the oxygen then put the screwcap on quick.
