Low Evap Pressure Fridge System HELP!!! - UNIFLAIR - Schneider
Guys we need help
We have relocated x2 LUVATA - CAP0251P condenser units (fan & coil) roughly 1m from their original location. The refrigerant gas is R410A. The condensers are connected to
UNIFLAIR SUAC0151B. We have recovered the gas from the outdoor units, carried out the works, pressure tested, vacced out then charged with new R410a. When turning the units on we are getting a fault code - Low Evaporating Pressure on both systems. We haven't carried out any internal works but the fault keeps coming back after 5mins of running. Should we of replaced the filter driers? 6kg was pulled out so we charged with the same - pipe work is 1/2 5/8 roughly 45m.
We mainly work on AC - Vrfs Vrvs Splits

Did the systems work ok before you moved the condensers?
Could be a bit undercharged now as it will take a fair bit of gas just to bring the system up to 0psi from a vacuum, plus the extra pipe.
Are they critically charged systems or do they have a receiver and sight glass?
Drier could be blocked, but odd to have two at the same time, if a drier is blocked you will get a temperature difference across it with the outlet being cooler, sometimes to the point of sweating or even ice forming on the pipe.
Has anything else been turned off whilst the work was carried out and possibly forgotten about? Evap fan motor not running, belts loose/broken, poor air flow for other reasons, dampers shut in ductwork etcMostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)

Do the pressures on your gauges show it dropping?
Could the compressor oil have been washed out when recharging the units?
Pipe cap/armaflex/stones in the new bit of pipe?

Driers should have been changed.

Go back to basics and measure superheat, as well as looking at pressures.

Hi Monkey Spanners, thanks for your reply. Systems did work before we got our hands on them although we didn't check the error history. Sight glass is flashing slightly. all fans are running, we did notice the compressor was hot to touch on the top & very cold on the bottom

Hi Seanf
Pressures show the normal 120psi for R410a, Oil might be a factor, no stones or anything in the pipe work.
