Mr. Slim not cooling - bust Test Mode seems to run OK
Hi all,
I have a PUH-P1 Outdoor unit / PEAD-RP2EA Indoor unit, which is not cooling, but when using the Test Mode on a PAR-31AA Controller, it shows the temp as being either 3 or 6 deg C. It's in Spain, and it was very hot outside (over 30) but it didn't even seem to try and bring the temperature down.
When it started up, the pipes froze, but then, within a min or so, melted
I removed the indoor filter completely to ensure that there were no obstructions whatsoever, but still no joy
When the fan in the outdoor unit spun, it was definitely NOT running at full speed, and not pushing out hot air as I was expecting
Any thoughts anyone ?

Can you put gauges on it? Initial thought is its short of refrigerant, or drier blockage. Does air off temperature drop in test mode?

Thanks for that
Can a gauge tell if refridgerant is low, or would it only tell if pressure was lost ?
What sort of reading should I be getting ? I have access to a gauge, but is there a diagram for how to connect it up (see the ports on my first post photo). The system has R407C
I found this video - is this the sort of thing I need ?Last edited by championc; 21-07-2023 at 12:04 PM.

I'd suggest ringing a local crowd to check it out, they'll need to repair if it's leaking.
