Sightglass Dirt or Scale???
Can people please share their experience or thoughts on what might be on the inside of this sightglass?
This was taken when the unit was running, spots on sightglass are stationary.

Looks like ****ty oil, whats the history on the system? See this sort of thing on systems that used to run mineral oil that now run HFC refrigerants and POE oil where not all the old oil has been cleaned out of the system.
Mostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)

Seems sludge formed in the system flushed into the sight glass. Also ensure the indicator paper is not burnt during brazing by use of correct flame direction and wet cloth.
