    Brazing kits

I’m fairly new to the refrigeration and air conditioning business and would welcome some advice please. I’m in the process of buying all my equipment and would like some suggestions regarding a good mobile brazing kit ideal for domestic line sets on small air con units .

Check out the new oxy mapp gas set FSW sell, it uses small refillable 2 liter oxygen bottles and standard mapp gas ones, so is light to carry around, have a similar one and its great for anything from 1/4" up to 1 3/8"

Bit like this one but has a different style bottle carrier

There's another set similar to the FSW version Monkey Spanners mentioned called Oxy Weld.
It's available from a guy who makes them himself, he advertises on Facebook. Hmm, all sounds a bit dodgy but I ordered one and it was fine. The MAPP regulator was faulty and he swapped it no issues too.

He's called Richard Kent, hope this link works: Richard Kent | Facebook
The fuel is normal MAPP cans as mentioned. For the oxygen it designed to use 2lit bottles specifically from Adams Gas which do rent free bottles. It's around £25 for the bottle deposit then a tad cheaper for the bottle. Deposit gets refunded when you hand it back or just rolled over if you swap it over.

    Cheers,
    Andy.
Health and safety first..........unless I'm in a hurry.
