Low Suction Pressure
Hi guys
FS-T 1500 FOUNTAIN SOLUTION REFRIGERATOR FOR PRINTING INDUSTRY
Nr.Q05/0037 (QUINT)
The above refrigerator is not working normally and we need your help to solve the problem.
The refrigerator is working for 2 minutes and then the compressor stops through the Low Pressure Switch. The expansion valve has a layer of ice (snow). The quantity of refrigerant gas in the refrigerator is normal (2Kg R404A).
Any idea what caused the malfunction?
We assume that the expansion valve is not working normally.
Best Regards
Andreas Kaskiris

Re: Low Suction Pressure
Without trying to come across as being rude.
Have you checked pressures? To make sure it's not just lost its charge and going out on lp safety

Re: Low Suction Pressure
Agree with Rikki. Before relacing the TXV check cubcooling to be sure that you have full charge.

Re: Low Suction Pressure
What's superheat an your LP? If this is within normal range (5 to 8 k) then lack of gas, otherwise faulty TXV or blocked orifice or water in the system
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
