Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
And hear is the 3rd
https://ibb.co/NtVSD3G
Dose each inside unit connect to each outside unit or do all 3 inside units connect to one outside unit where the other 2 outside units would service the other parts/ floors of the building?
Thanks

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
Well they are Fujistu air conditioning units according to the name printed on the casings.
Probably cooling only systems going by the age but they could be heatpumps.
Also it is likely that there is one indoor unit linked to one outdoor unit.Last edited by Brian_UK; 04-07-2022 at 03:06 PM. Reason: Spelling

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
Genie lift or mobile tower maybe. Depends on the composition of the ground below.
Those units weigh around 20 stone and weight is off centre making them awkward if you haven't delt with them before. Might also have refrigerant in them too so will need making safe by a qualified tech.
Cheers,
Andy.

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
Time to check in with your local hire shop after contacting your local AC company to get the units degassed.

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
It is degassed
But what kind of lifting equipment would you recommend
Do you know what they are worth by any chance
Thanks

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
I don't know what access you have, that is what can decide the equipment needed.
Anything from a scaffold build with block and tackle to lower the kit up to a friendly fork lift truck driver via a wind up or gas powered Genie hoist.
As far as called goes they would get classed as mixed metal scrap so not a lot.Last edited by Brian_UK; 07-07-2022 at 02:58 PM.

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
.
If they have the refrigerant inside them and oil, you have a legal duty of care to dispose
of them correctly because they will be classed as contaminated with a controlled waste.
They might be reusable in which case they can be classed as recycled and not waste but
if you want them off your premises then you will have to pay for it to be removed.
If you want to sell them on then get the buyer to remove them. If you want to sell them on
then they need to be in good working condition so they need to be removed correctly and that will cost.
If they are scrap then it is a controlled substance, a classified waste and that will require waste
permits and travel documents. All that costs.

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
I was planning on removing them myself and selling them off together on an auction site and sold as delivered on a pallet
Any ideas to cost of removing them and what I should get for them

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
How much do you thin the 3 indoor units are worth sold second hand

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
Looking at the outside units they appear to be the older fixed speed R407C type so scrap value I'm afraid.

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
Would that go for the inside ones as well then?

Re: Help adentify this type of cooler/ heater
Sorry, just read my post and didn't make clear what I meant. 🤣
I meant the outdoor units indicating they are old (15-20 yrs?) so indoors therefore not worth much.
It would be unlikely the indoors would work on newer outdoor units so unless someone needs a PCB or fan motor there's not much else you can do with them unfortunately.
