AC engineer dies following “explosion”
.
Cooling Post.
A young man repairs an AC system and recharges the refrigerant.
On starting the compressor it "explodes" and kills him.

Re: AC engineer dies following “explosion”
Poor Man.
Very Sad news.
I hope he worked for a reputable company that will support his Family and loved ones.
Would anyone know what refrigerant he was dealing with?
GrizzlyDespite the High Cost of Living it still remains Popular!

Re: AC engineer dies following “explosion”
Oxygen in system coupled with R32 possibly? With the influx of other trades doing FGas courses, it will become all the more important that companies only use competent engineers to repair and service their equipment.
Mostly found in the southern part of this green and pleasant land.

Re: AC engineer dies following “explosion”
Quite some time ago a Compressor exploded here in the USA.
A member (USIceman) investigated the incident.
The conclusion, if I remember correctly, was that most likely the Technician had used Oxygen as a test gas.
