    Klimac chiller

    Hi all,

Just wanted to pick a brain.

Klimac chiller has gone into a contactor status alarm, this had has new controls upgrade by Airedale controls, so new wiring and some sensors but existing equipment.

Changed the motor protection module and fault disappeared, however has returned, oil is present, no HP trips etc.

Any ideas on possible places to look please?

I have no knowledge of your unit but as it has had new controls and I assume controller too, are all of the new parameters set up suitable for the existing kit?

    Hi Brian

Attended today for a call out on it.

Comp running really hot and casing too hot to touch.

Fault was heat temp sensor due to this. High discharge pressure and temps.

Fridge, oil all looked ok, condenser coils heavily blocked

Can't beat the mark one eyeball for potential simple fault causes.

If it helps to sort the problems then it pays off.
