    Question pressure test

if i need to pressure test a section of field installed refrigeration pipework and it is connected to the condensing unit and evaporator, the service valves is suspected leak thru', so cannot hold the pressure inside the pipework.

can someone inform how to eliminate the problem?

    thank you.

Does the system have refrigerant in it or could you perform a pressure test on the whole system ?

If there is no refrigerant in the system and you do not want to pressure test the condenser or evaporator then you will have to cut the line and seal the ends to do an individual pipeline test.

Assuming the refrigerant has already been removed.
Open the valves and pressure test the complete system, if this proves to be leak tight it would then be easy to confirm if the valves hold simply by closing the valves, release the pressure from one side and monitor the pressure on the other side

    Re: pressure test

i agree with the 2 opinions beside you could manage unloading of the refrigerant in case of system is full....
and how about manual isolation valves
