Dear friends,

What helps cool rotary compressors ? As you know on scroll and hermetic and … compressors we cool compressor by return suction from evaporator. But at rotary compressor suction return gas enters directly to compressor by this reason accumulator is necessary for these types of compressors.
Now, These type of compressors are not suction cool. How these types of compressors cool ?

They dont. The body is at high pressure so it can get pretty hot.

The vapour is discharged through the exhaust port into the compressor housing. Here the hot gas “cools down” the electric windings and oil. These components are designed to work happily in 100°C to 120°C.
