    Is this correct?

I recently came across these slides from an Embraco training video. I was sure that the metering device was always connected to the lowest point on the evaperator, but these slides say otherwise, or am I missing something?

yes, it will allow any remaining refrigerant to drain out of the evaporator at the end of the cooling cycle.

In the picture where the inlet is at the bottom, Embraco do not recommend it.
In the other picture where the inlet is at the top, Embraco recommend it.

Bottom feeding is for flooded evaporator.
