Re: Loosing oil
AKI,
Have heard about worldwide problems coalesces not working correctly, but not replaced on any on equipment we work on.
I think it was 1-2 years ago most issues.
Things to look out for are correct torque setting, gasket sealing threaded rod where it goes through end cap.
Found “0” rings from new poorly glued in, falling off when in packaging.Last edited by RANGER1; 04-12-2020 at 06:16 PM.

Re: Loosing oil
Hi Aki,
Seen almost 10 units of Sabroe have huge oil carryover, in 24 hours of operation oil level reach up to low level. Every time check coalescer filter found damaged even after 24 Hours of operation.

Re: Loosing oil
Hi Ultrakool,
I am talking about units that loosing oil from first day.For example SAB 233 in 500 hours loosing 100 litres oil.
When I check coalescer filter, pipes for return oil, block valve everything looks just fine.
What is interesting that original SABROE 128,163,202 etc. work normal on the same unit construction.

Re: Loosing oil
AKI,
not your problem, you need to complain to the coalescer filter supplier.

Re: Loosing oil
AKI,
A check of rack coalescer, that end caps have been glued on 100% bonded all the way around, inside out.
- where coalescer seals on ends, does it look like a correct seal is possible.
- If you run a lower oil level, may help.
- Any unusual foaming of oil.
- Internal end plate not damaged, cracked, fully welded.
- oil return back into compressor in correct port, so no possibility oil return flow incorrect way.
If “A” frame, does that have a coalescer eack end (Sabroe) or Frick one end, how many filters?Last edited by RANGER1; 05-12-2020 at 09:21 PM.
