Polar refrigerator condenser
Hi all
I own a fish and chip shop and have a commercial Polar stand up refrigerator.
It started creeping upon temp today so turned it off at 22degrees C.
It only had some drinks and salads which I transferred to my walk in fridge.
Unplugged it and opened the top to find the condensor was black with grease.
Used some kitchen decrease spray which cleaned it a little. Any advice on something else? I dont want to undo it as I probably will break it.

Re: Polar refrigerator condenser
Call a fridge company. Suggest you call one of the refrigeration parts suppliers locally and ask who they recommend.
You cannot fix it.

Re: Polar refrigerator condenser
Never tryed it, but maybe a small steam cleaner might take a bit away.

Re: Polar refrigerator condenser
One of my goto cleaners for greasy coils - especially A/C fancoils in chinese retaurants - was always Flash with Bleach.
Make sure that you unplug the fridge before doing any wet work.
I used to carry an old towel that I would stuff into the drip tray etc to catch any run off.
A spray of Flash and a gentle brush followed by a rinse soon has greasy coils looking like new

Re: Polar refrigerator condenser
Looking at your photos and how clean the compressor is I would say you need an engineer to check the unit
