economizer line/subcooler line
Hi guys,
I was checking piping diagram of "economizer" for screw compressors and "sub-cooling" line of 2 stages compressors.
Both of them were same and both of them is for subcooling liquid line and also increasing mass flow of compressor …… .
But why on screw compressors we call it economizer line and on 2 stages compressors for blast freezer we call it sub-cooler line or I have mistake ?
Thanks.

Re: economizer line/subcooler line
Hi,
here you can read a lot about economisers/sub-coolers ...
http://www.refrigeration-engineer.co...earchid=699656
about 7 pages with posts regarding economiser/ sub-coolers etc ....
if above link is not working in search window write ... economiser ....
... actually economiser line is a special port on compressor which is in function only when compressor capacity is above 75-80% ... below that capacity eco port is on the same pressure which we have on suction on that system ...
economiser main purpose is to increase system capacity up to 20%,
but increase of input power is only 8-10% ...

Above is STAL - STALOMIZER with some explanation ...
here is some good link ... I hope ;-))
