Daikin VRV IV Commissioning
We have a job to commission with 300 indoor units spread across 6 floor, 50 units per floor and 1 itouch manager per floor. No local controllers as this is cat a. For the central controller do we still have to go around every single indoor unit and plug a remote in then set the group number, or is there an auto address on them now/better way of doing this.

Re: Daikin VRV IV Commissioning
The simple answer is YES. All indoor units need to be given an individual group address via a connected remote controller.
The iTouch will not see them unless they have been addressed.

Re: Daikin VRV IV Commissioning
Thank you. We should have access to a service checker laptop by the time we commission, do you know if this is able to be used instead or is it still the same?

Re: Daikin VRV IV Commissioning
The Service Checker is just a reporting tool - no facility to programme.
There is a laptop based commissioning tool though for setting up the outdoor units https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDwuqeQ45Lo

Re: Daikin VRV IV Commissioning
checker only monitors and can be used as central control but you need to address all the indoor units if you also give the indoor units airnet address at the same time and give airnet address to out door units it makes it easy to check each indoor unit and outdoor units from checker
