    CO2 Tank

    Dear friends,
We have a CO2 tank. This made in Russia many years before. Evaporator includes steel pipes has been installed at top of tank. While as result of heat gain, Temperature of CO2 increases and evaporates, Cooling system and evaporator condensates vapor to liquid CO2.
Many years no one didn't use this tank and evaporator rusted as result of moisture. Now we have to change evaporator and make new one.
Pressure inside of tank is not more than 300 PSI, My question is why Russian factory has used steel pipes instead copper pipes as evaporator that we have better heat transfer with copper.
It is any special reason ?

    Sincerely yours.

    Re: CO2 Tank

All CO2 tanks manufacturers use steel evaporators.

Its to do with pressure and strength of the structure, welding to tank frame.

Length and capacity is calculated so there are no problems.
