leaking fridge evaporator
Hi there!
I was accidentally punched the fridge evaporator. So what's the next step should I do to fix the problem.
If possible I don't want to purchase the new one evaporator. Please advise me.

Clean area around pierce with wire wool. Then wipe clean with solvent you get with epoxy resin needed to repair joint. Fit vac pump and run system in a very slight vac, apply resin and leave to set. Once set replace drier, pressure test, re-vac system and charge with refrigerant gass.
I choose to run very slight vac as it draws poxy and gives a very good seal, never had a leak yet, but rember the vac must be slight you don't wanna suck the epoxy around the evap.

Unless its your fridge, and you want to have a go, fine.
If its a customers...........dont bother
