Re: Two condenser use
Hi
is it depend's on conection sizes
if your conection is small do parallel if not and you have enough room to put one of them on top of that do series
on those have same capacity
in parallel if one of them got leaks you could used other one for short periodsLast edited by mbc; 08-02-2019 at 04:19 AM.

Re: Two condenser use
Hi Mammohan
Some tips, If you design
In serie, just take for account that the pressures losses through each condenser as to be added. Which increase the head pressure, and then decrease the overall efficiency. The second condenser might run often flooded if you have load fluctuation. Insure that the first condenser is located at a higher position than the second condenser and then drop to the receiver, to ensure a good flow. This could be used for a higher temperature for heat recovery, with the first condenser.
In parallel, it is easier to modulate the condenser with the load fluctuation. The pressure drop through each condenser do not add up. It might take less refrigerant. But insure an equalizing line in between each condenser to insure good flow, and pay attention to the drop leg to the receiver versus pressure drop, if the condenser are not install at the same level and do not have the same load capacity.Kathleen, P.eng
