    Iced suction line - Question from Rockfun



    Had this question sent to me as a PM, I have therefore put it out on the forum for all to see.:-



    I would like to know why a air condition unit icing up on the suction line even the gas pressure,air circulation o.k,everthing running normal...

    given the complete lack of detail but usually an indication of overcharge.Often accompanied by either a frosting or heavy sweating of the compressor....

    But funnily enough...

    Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey leettr by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe.

    I think it is because the refrigerant pressure is lower near the compressor.
