Hi Guys.
A simple enough question (Hopefully!)
I have a modern coldstore with standard Thermod doors which have a large pull handle on the outside and large semi circular push pads on the inside.
The internal push pad is connected to the door release mechanism via a solid plastic rod.
Which slides within a plastic guide tube.
Over time the slide action becomes compromised by the build up of ice within the door.
With the door becoming harder and harder to open.

Historically I have stripped the Mechanism, cleared and dried the tube and rod.
But eventually the build up and restriction is repeated.

I was just wondering if I were to lubricate the 2 parts with Silicone Grease, whether it would stop the parts freezing up?
What do people think?
