On one unit during operation this pipe is hot, on the second one it is cold.
Where the pipe is hot, there is a strong vibration.

I dismantled this node, there is nothing inside the pipe.
It connects the cavity of the suction in the head and the crankcase.
During operation, the temperature of the tube is about + 50 ° C

Possibly this is a hot gas by pass to work compressor at low loads (unload) you can verify with monitoring gauge pressure and pipe temperature.
