Question Additonal charge for R32 system

    Hi guys

Have had to attend site to add additonal R32 refrigerant to a new install as factory charge isnt sufficient.

Now i need to calculate the additional required as it runs over the pre 15m charge by about 5 meters.

Now i know i have to add liquid to the system but the split doesnt have a liquid valve only a gas.

Is the only way to recover all and charge that way?

    Thanks

Bit late now as the system is up and running. Although going out on low refrigerant fault.

Daikin also state 20g of R32 per metre of pipe after 10 meters. That sound right?

Use a liquid charger with your manifold set or bleed the liquid carefully via the low pressure valve on the manifold.

Taken carefully the jobs a good 'un.

R32 isn't a zeotrope so I guess you can charge it in liquid or gas.
If it was me then I'd go as per any usual charging in your situation. Run in cooling, let it bleed into the suction, watch the sight glass on your gauges to ensure none or perhaps the odd bit of liquid is going in - I regulate it from the bottle going in as liquid and flashing off from the bottle valve and manifold valve fully open.

    Cheers,
    Andy.
