Daikin
Hi, has anyone experience of Daikin's on site strip and rebuild service for installing outdoor units in awkward locations?
Have a VRV to locate on a roof area, where no crane lift is possible.

Re: Daikin
Is the no crane because of structures on the roof or because you cannot get a crane close enough to reach?

Yes, simply tell them where you want it locating and maybe give them a hand up with the stuff if your that way inclined. Decent service although I’ve only used it once.

Re: Daikin
Got a quote recently to have a strip and rebuild service for a 200kW chiller....
Client couldn't afford the price...say no more.

Re: Daikin
Update - Couldn't arrange a crane lift due to council not wanting to close off the road. Daikin couldn't do the rebuild service themselves in the required project timescale, so after the boss clearing the warranty issue with Daikin yours truly was given the task!
x3 vrv rebuilds stripped and rebuilt in 1 week. Good experience to see how they come apart but wouldn't want to do it again in a hurry.. Worse part was handling the coils without damage as they are quite heavy but very fragile.

Re: Daikin
Just had a quote from Mitsubishi to strip and rebuild 3 condensing units (twin fan) due to limited access into the central office area (doughnut shaped office building).
£4000 each unit - total £12000
