    Daikin fan coil unit

    Model num: RR100B8V3B
Please, can anyone help? I'm not used to daikin units.

I received a call out that this fan coil runs for about 15mins and stops and it will not start until it is reset.
The fan coil uses a control (thermostat) that has only 3 to 4 buttons, a power, time and water tap symbols.

Please help to explain how one can operate the control and what could be making the unit to run and stop, and will not start until reset? Thanks

The water tap symbol means that it is time to clean the filter. This can be reset by pressing the lower right hand button on the controller that looks like a lot of squares.

If it is shutting down after 15 minutes then it has a problem. When it stops, it will display an error code and the red led will be flashing on the display.

The old RR outdoor units are R22 gas. Do you have a model number of the indoor unit?

On the outdoor PCB there are red and green led's. When there is a fault, the Red led will be lit. There is a fault sequence of the led's inside the outdoor cover that you take off
