Re: Refrigerants delivered by mother nature

This thread is four months old, and I feel that it is a very important point for discussions and for engineers like us to learn.

Yesterday I was in another city in connection with my business and met an engineer from Mycom. He put up a presentation for the systems using NH3 and Cascade system with Nh3/CO2. I found it very interesting as well as an excellent system. The future of refrigeration lies in the natural refrigerants.

The technology in Ammonia systems has so much advanced of which we are not aware of. I would request Josip to continue this thread with Refrigerants delivered by Mother Nature and who so ever has knowledge in this should contribute and share their knowledge in this.

    With best wishes, Samarjit Sen

    Hi Samarjit,

Have also talked with the local Mycom guy here in my place.
I inquired about the hermetic compressors that can be used for ammonia which i have learned from:

    http://www.refrigeration-engineer.co...ead.php?t=4944
    http://www.mycomj.co.jp/eindex/mycorole.html

He did not know about it so i told him to inquire from their Japan headquarters when they will start marketing these compressors.

I just hope it is not very expensive so we may able to market it to those that are enviromentally responsible enough to pay more for something that is environmentally friendly equipment.

    Regards,
    winfredy

    Dear Fredy,

I hope to recieve some details from the Mycom people. They are also very keen to introduce their products in our country. I really liked their packages on Ammonia two stage screw compressors and their CO2/NH3 cascade.

I would like to introduce the ammonia systems in the various multiplexes that are coming up in our country. I presume it is applicable for air conditioning. Will any one who has installed such plants explain the procedure and the method applicable.

    With best wishes,

If any of you get to IKK next week you can visit the booth titled "Natural Refrigerants" and co-hosted by eurammon and IIAR. Hope to see you there!

    cheers
