    Sanyo ECOi 5 - Possible 4port issue

    Morning all

Would anybody know how we could obtain the Sanyo service checking software/link cables to enable us to do in house diagnostics either using the controller or via computer?

Our premises engineer is going on refrigeration training but we have nothing to interrogate our systems to aid him in his work.

Medal aircon used to do it but looks like they've gone out of business.

    Cheers!

    Hi Steve,
Speak to Environmental Site Supplies in Sutton, Surrey they'll give you a price - however it might be cheaper for their tech guy to come out for a 1\2 day (where is the site??) and give the system the once over.
You can read most of the sensor readings via a local wired controller, which might help.
    Regards

dysk will suply you with the service checker for about 500quid- will connect to a standard laptop with a usb connection- the software is free on panasonic pro club website- free to join- the linechecker software connected to the lil box then connects to ghp and ecoi units on the comms line- at outdoor or any indoor- will show all indoor units/lev positions, outdoor parameters, and allow you to manually run units in test- also you can download firmware to update software - not seen any point in this- updated a few units from version 2.5 to 3.4 due to p16 over current issues and it doesnt seem to cure it- instead of sterting inv comp at 20 htz it starts it at 30 htz and still p16 fault

its common for 4 way valves to pass - theres 2 of em on the rh side- way to test if 1 has failed is to feel the pipes upto the condenser- if theyre hot in htg or cold in cooling then theyre ok- usually 1 fails so will req changing both
