    R502 to R22

Just as a theorical matter .

Despite it can not reach the low temperature as in R502 , what will be the performance if the equipment is charged, vacuum first, with R22. It is a hermethic , about 2.5 hp

Of course I know that both gas are banned , but actually I can use R22 in my country, Argentina.
And I do not need to reach so low temperature. -5ºC evaporator is enough

It can be done, as I did when 502 went away.
As you noted there will be a performance penalty.
Refrigerant control is an issue. I had to change the expansion valve. The size will be smaller most likely. I used Danfoss instead of Sporlan as I wanted to be able to change the orifice to match the new requirement if my calculations were not correct.
If you have a distributor that can be an issue. You may have unequal feeding.
Discharge temp could be an issue as well, depending on your system.
I am assuming this is a system not prone to oil issues. R22 oil return can be more difficult than 502.
What you usually cannot do is go the other way (22 to 502). The higher discharge pressure will cause motor overload in most systems.
