Installing large stop valves on vessels

Would be interested in opinions installing large stop valves on pressure vessels etc.
Do you always install in direction of flow marked on valve.
    Sizes 200 mm & above.
Any particular valve, say Danfoss or other, design limits taken into account.

Re: Installing large stop valves on vessels

    Hi

Direction is important and we should keep in our mind
but also we have to look which side we are going to use in service and we need to close it to service and depresure it . Oposit of that we should install it
The reason of that when we are going to open it . Valve can open easy and with out more pressure from diaphragm of valve.
Also if we have oil return from one side it should not have loop of oil . And oil should retrun easy to vessels
