    Satchwell controllers replacement - 26 april 2017

    Hi Guys

    I'm having trouble chasing this up and think this is the home of old tech heads right ; }

I have to retrofit an old boiler / coils / fans ect with new controls, there is a Satchwell contoller that I will need to change to new, the old Satchwell model is as shown, see pics!

Does anyone know what I can change this with, any info would be greatly appreciated as Schnieder Australia has been no help.

    Thanks Guys !!!!!!!!

Do you know what this controller is? (pressure switch / thermostat)?

Not surprising - those numbers pre date google..

Identification of controller function & range will help greatly

Apart from finding that it is an obsolete 'detector' with no replacement, I can't find much either.

    Hi Mr Hvacs & GFBRB
Thanks for taking the time to check this out, much appreciated guys !!!!!!!!

Looks to me to be a humidistat, it has a screen type panel I'm expecting is a humidity sensor approx 25x25mm square, as seen in the pics 3 wires connecting, no's on the body 325-1-301 / type ET / GP, I cannot find anything about this thing, frustrating trying to retrofit old gear with new, even Schnieder here in Australia ( buildings controls area) who look after Satchwell I cannot even get through the labyryth of phone networks to talk with someone there, dumb hey !!!

Any experience with these controller would be gold to me ; } Penny for your thoughts boys.........

    Big cheers Wayne

    Hi there,
It is an ET 325-1-301 temperature controller listed as obsolete and has probably been in use since the mid 1970's.
If I remember correctly, there will be an adjusting knob on one side which moves a slider on a wirewound resistor to change the input to the balanced relay.
Like everything from back then, it worked well until it decided to break.
According to my sources you will need to replace the complete control system as there are no compatible parts available. See this link https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/vi...er-guide-05/38.
Good luck in trying to modify that system. Best rip it out and start again with a modern style of control strategy.
