    Why R410A ?

    Dear Guys,

Please someone tell me why all of inverter split units coolers use R410A instead R22 or R407C ?

Why at split unit coolers companies use R410A ?

    Sincerely yours.

    Re: Why R410A ?

In Europe, R22 has been banned for new equipment since 2003.
R407C was used an interim refrigerant and R410A is currently used by most split system manufacturers due to the lower refrigerant quantity required allowing the footprint of the units to be reduced.
Some manufacturers are now moving over to R32 for the split systems, due to the lower GWP that this gas exhibits.
